Fresh Sealant Application
Here is the procedure we followed while working on a Project for Larsen and Toubro:1. Visual Inspection: Grooves between Glass panels, at edges of glass panels, and between ACP panels will have sealant. We installed the Cradle (by following Safety norms and after having a Third-Party Audit) for Visual Inspection.

2. Removing Existing Sealant: One should remove the Complete sealant filled in grooves since there will be no bonding between the existing dry sealant and fresh sealant which will be wet.

3. Complete removal of sealant by Wire Brush: Complete removal of existing dry weather sealant is only possible if you remove a small residual of sealant for the surface, we used a wire brush for the same.

4a. Cleaning: Remove the debris accumulated at the surface.

4b. Cleaning: Have a clean piece of cotton and Liquid soap mixed with water on it.

4c. Cleaning: Clean the surface properly and allow it to dry.

5. Placing the masking tape: Place the masking tape exactly at the edges on both sides of the groove. The width of the masking tape should be more than 1 inch ( 25.4mm).

6. Filling the Weather Sealant: Fill the sealant gun with the Weather sealant. Ensure the nozzle is clean at the tip. Else very leas amount of sealant comes out and it takes a longer time to fill the groove.

7. Completion: Level the sealant filled in a groove to the surface of the glass / ACP panel/ outer surface. Ensure the entire groove is filled sufficiently. Remove the masking tape gently.
